ECHO's new Mosquito YardShield™ System takes the bite out of the mosquito season and helps protect against West
Nile, Lyme, and other diseases carried by mosquitoes. The system kills mosquitoes and other flying insects on contact
and provides a barrier that can last weeks.
This innovative insect abatement system comes in an easy-to-assemble kit that is designed for retrofit on the popular-
selling ECHO PB-200, PB-201, or the PB-251 Handheld Blower. The kit includes a backpack tank, flexible hose, and a
nozzle/tube assembly. The kit, blower, and EPA-registered Mosquito YardShield™ concentrate are all sold separately.
The system is ideal for professional lawn service contractors, homeowners, campers, businesses, municipalities, and
anyone concerned about disease-carrying insects. For professional landscape contractors, the Mosquito YardShield™
kit offers another revenue stream. Not only is it easy to assemble and operate, it is inexpensive to use. Adding 1 ounce
of Mosquito YardShield™ to 1 gallon of water provides 10,000 sq ft of coverage.
Other systems can be very expensive to own and operate and most kill by attracting insects. Spray services use the
same agent as Mosquito YardShield™, but they are expensive and require customers to plan ahead and make an
appointment. Treatments that attach to a garden hose are labor intensive and more costly.
Is there an easier and more effective way to take the bite out of summer? We don't think so. By simply replacing the
existing PB-200 blower tube with the Mosquito YardShield™ tube/nozzle assembly and strapping on a lightweight tank,
users can start "blowing away" harmful insects. The nozzle converts the Mosquito YardShield™ agent into a fine mist
and provides excellent directional control. The nozzle/tube assembly is easily detachable, returning the unit back to a
leaf blower.
Mosquitoes carry 92 diseases in North America. By killing mosquitoes on contact and setting up a barrier, the Mosquito
YardShield™ system provides immediate relief from annoying mosquito bites and an added measure of protection
from the diseases they carry.
