What is the Honda EU2000i Companion generator?
The companion is a 2000 watt generator putting out 16.7 watts max 13.3 rated, with a
30 AMP receptacle.
Why does it have a 30 AMP receptacle if it only puts out 16.7 max / 13.3 rated
amps?
When the unit is linked together with a regular EU2000i through parallel ports (optional
parallel kit required), the 2 generators now have the capability of putting out 4000
watts 33.3 max / 26.6 rated amps. This is where the 30 amp plug is needed.
Can the Companion be used alone?
Yes but the generator still only puts out 16.7 max / 13.3 rated.
If you hook the 2 generators together, will the noise level double?
No, you double the amps not the noise.
Will the 2 EU generators hooked together can I run my 15.000 BTU A/C on my
motor home?
Yes
