This is a very nice well built machine. The mowing deck was a little out of adjustment, I was able to adjust it a about 10 minutes. That was the simplest mower deck I've ever adjusted. Very good design. The Kawasaki engine is very smooth and easy starting.
I've owned Toro mowers, they just keep getting better and better.
Overall this is a Great Mower.

I only have 5 hours on it. I wanted to wait a little longer to give a review but I couldn't wait. This zero turn is everything they said it was, and more. SO far it runs great with plenty of power. Glad I waited for the Kawasaki motor. If the grass is wet do not operate on any inclines. You will slide onto things you don't want to. Everybody complains about the shipping crate. They are correct. It was a nightmare. The driver could not get the hand truck under the pallet. I had to clime up in the truck, 110 Deg in FL. and cut out the pallet from underneath the Zero turn. Once I got it free I had to figure out how to push it with the auto lock system on. Once you figure it out it's easy, but not when you are hot and just want to get it in the garage.
Wisesales was great to deal with and the were up front with when it would ship and get here. Great customer service.
Overall I wish I would have bought it sooner. (Posted on 8/8/14)

Finally got the mower last Thursday. Midwest weather delayed shipment for about a week but no big deal as it’s not mowing season just yet. Reports on the un packing difficulty were true; glad I had plenty of tools and saws to get thru the lumber pile. The mower is in perfect condition. I installed the mulching kit prior to the initial deck installation, it was a snap, but did require an impact wrench to drive the “non” self-tapping screws into the deck. One of the halves of the mulching kit did have a flat spot that hit the blade but a few heavy taps with a rubber mallet gave enough clearance. Once together and initial checks complete the engine turned over and started in just a couple seconds running perfectly. Can't wait for the grass to start growing again. Thanks for the great deal on a great machine.

Ordered the MX 5060 and within a week it was scheduled to be delivered the following week. On Thursday when it was supposed to come, I got a call from the delivery company telling me that because of the freezing weather throughout the Northeast and Mid-West, it would be delayed one day...no problem. Got a call on Friday when it was re-scheduled to be delivered and now the crate wont fit on the lift gate for the delivery truck. Delivery people were asking ME for a solution. I told them that my responsibility was to order the product. Delivery was their responsibility. It got to me the following Monday. Wasn't the end of the world, but it was a hiccup. So that's why I'm giving 4 starts instead of 5. (Posted on 1/16/14)

Fed Ex delivered when promised and put the mower where I needed it to be for unpacking. The mower set for 5 days because we had an ice storm and with 2 inches of ice every where there was no place to test the mower. I took a tiger saw and in 25 min. had it unpacked and off the crate. After the set up check list was done I was ready to test it. I did not really have anything to mow, but I checked out everything to make sure everything work . This is a great mower I had fun just driving it around for about 30 min. I can't wait for mowing season to start. From the start of buying this mower till now, I know I bought the right mower. Thank you Wise Sales for a great buying experience, and thank you Toro for a Great Mower. (Posted on 12/28/13)

I have been borrowing my brother-in-laws Scag for awhile and it was time to get my own mower. For the 2 acres I need to cut I just couldn't justify the cost of the Scag's. I knew I wanted the Kawasaki and a welded deck. My dad has this Toro and loves it so after alot of homework and search for the best deal I went with this one from Wise. Everything worked out perfect with the exception of the shipping-the mower sat at the shipper here for a week untill they had a lft gate available to deliver it--that was fustrating. Uncrating was a breeze and after a little gas I was off cutting some grass to try it out. No regrets buying this mower from Wise or getting the Toro. (Posted on 10/29/13)

The mower is a little tricky to maneuver. The belt broke after 1.2 hours. the mower is at a dealer for repairs so at this point I'm disappointed in the quality as for the price and delivery you could not ask for anything better. There are many complaints about the packaging but with a little common sense it was no problem. I will update when i know what the repairs will cost or if the warranty covers my mower. Great mower, hard to uncrateReview by Doofusd

I have had this mower for about a month now. The worst thing about it was the uncrating. It took me a long time of sweating and cutting to get it free from its crate. If you are not able bodied you may want to get help in uncrating this behemoth. After the setup it was a great deal of fun and a little frustration getting used to the steering on a zero turn mower. Although I must give it high praise for its cutting ability I found that it performs much worse on wet soil. I have a craftsman garden tractor and a septic system that leaves a lot of wet ground. The garden tractor has larger wheels and can perform in soggy grass while this Toro mx 5060 slides deeper in and gets stuck fast. This makes me have to use the old mower to mow near the wet grass after I've cut the bulk of my lawn with the Toro. Oh well, such is life. (Posted on 9/3/13)

Wise Sales gives new meaning to service. I ordered my Toro MX 5060 on Monday and it was in Alabama on Wednesday. Two of my friends have Kuboda zero turn mowers and they paid $7500. I got just as much quality and performance for $3800. The ONLY significant difference is mine does not have a roll bar. However, that is not a problem. I have 4.5 acres of yard that is essentially flat, therefore, I will not need a roll bar.

If you are considering a purchase from Wise Sales, relax, they are "straight up." I had one little glitch in the transaction and Dorothy fixed that, pronto. I shopped lawn mowers and dealers for 2 months and no one came close to Wise Sales in quality, service, and price.

Writing a review is a pleasure when you get a good deal, especially from Yankees

This company is the BEST!!! I ordered my mower and they had it to me within 2 days of my order. I love the mower, it's AWESOME!!! and it cut my mowing time more than half. I will tell anyone, if you have never used a zero turn mower before, take the time to get a feel for the controls before you start cutting. It'll save you some embarrassment and heartache. I would recommend this product to anyone. I've only had it a couple weeks, but up to this point, I'm totally satisfied. (Posted on 7/18/13)

I had been mowing with a 60" tractor mounted deck which took approximately 4 1/2 hours and left grass around trees and obstacles because I couldn't get close enough. It did take some time to get used to the tiller steering, but I've cut over an hour off my mowing time and no longer need to follow-up with a trimmer around the trees. Delivery of the new mower was speedy and easy. I'm very happy with it and Wise Sales. (Posted on 7/1/13)
I like it .....Review by Steven

First off, I'm happy to have purchased this mower online from Wise versus getting it at the local dealer. I got the mower cover also, and with not having to pay sales tax or shipping charges I saved over $500. Delivery was a tad problematic, Wise was fast and courteous, UPS Freight kind of bungled it at the end. But the delivery guy used the pallet jack he had to put the box (BIG box) right into my garage, so I was able to do all my unpacking/assembly in the shade.
The crate the mower is shipped in is ...... unbelieveable. The mower is basically sitting on a bed of 2x4's, strapped down and covered by a heavy cardboard box. It reminded me of unpacking a kitchen appliance. Getting it OUT of that crate proved to be a real pain. I'm a professional mechanic and I was all set to use my air tools, unfortunately I never got past using a box cutter and a crowbar. You're supposed to remove the cardboard box, cut a couple of hold-down straps, remove two wooden crossmembers behind the rear wheels, then roll the mower backwards off the crate frame. Uhhhh, no. Even with the deck set to the highest setting, the deck still rests HEAVILY on a pair of center stiffener pieces making it impossible to budge the mower in any direction. It took about an hour of prying, cursing engineers, profuse sweating and foul language to get the mower free of all the wood underneath it.
The mower comes assembled, but not "set up". Step one after getting it free of the shipping crate was to connect the negative battery cable, in my case the needed hardware for that step was missing. I improvised (another half hour) and continued on with setting the control levers, hooking the seat up, and checking the mower deck adjustments. In my case the deck slope and level was already set, all I had to do was choose my cut height and set my scalp wheels accordingly, check the tire pressure, check the oil, engage the transmission locks, add gas and start it up.
This being my first zero-turn mower, I was impressed. I'm also glad that this Toro has the low speed range setting, because it's going to take a little while before I get the hang of operating the machine. I just don't find it to be a natural way to steer a lawnmower, your mileage may vary. I did zip through the thickest, toughest area of grass in my yard as an "acid test", this mower has all the power and blade speed to not skip a beat. THAT'S what I was looking for. I'm confident that when my abilities improve, my mowing time will be cut almost in half and I expect the quality of the cut to be much superior to my old lawn tractor. I think I got my money's worth with this machine.
As a side note, everyone in my area has Ex-Mark on the brain. Well folks, Toro owns Ex-Mark, and if you compare the Ex-Mark Quest S-series to the Toro MX series, they're basically the same machine. Even the body panels appear to be interchangeable. But the Ex-Mark doesn't have the dual speed gearing, and it only has a 691cc engine versus the Toro's 726cc Kawasaki. And they're both the same price, at least at my local dealers. I like the look of the Toro better, and with the extra features it was an easy decision. (Posted on 6/29/13)

Helped my father in law buy this mower through Wise. Shipping time was in about 10 days but found out they had to wait until they had a full truck to start deliveries which makes sense to me. Exmark is my favorite mower but this one compares very well to it. I have a Husqvarna zero turn but I like this one a little better may have to borrow it quite often. Seems like a great mower and a great value. (Posted on 6/27/13)

This was my first experience with Wise Sales and ordering this large of a purchase online. Great communication and delivery time was as promised. The construction of the mower is as tough as described. The mower started right up and the blades were level. The mower blade quality is questionable. I also purchased the mulching kit and installed it in about another hour. Very impressive fit.

The method of removing the mower from the wood pallet can be improved so the mower can be driven off. The quality and construction of the upper crate and carton are very good. The delivery service left an extra small wood pallet underneath the shipping pallet making it difficult to remove the mower. It took a SawsAll and about an hour to remove the pallet from underneath the mower. (Posted on 6/17/13)

my husband loves this new mower. Is very heavy duty and mows our lawn so even and fast. What used to take us 4-6 hrs now was done in less than 2 hrs!. He says we will never be without a zero turn mower and this toro meets all his standards. Shipping was very quick. The truck service even moved the crate inside our garage for us from off the truck and had us carefully inspect the mower. Had to saw off the crate, but had mower going in no time at all. Just had to wait several for it to quit raining before trying it out. will definitely buy from wise again! (Posted on 6/5/13)
A Few Weeks Of UseReview by tmonahan15085

Ok, I've been able to use this guy quite a few times now. It has shaved about 1.5 hours off of my 4+ hours of mowing with the previous mower. This mower is fantastic if you have a flat yard....which most of mine is. However, if you have to mow anything with a grade you'll want to use something else to mow it. With that said I believe this is a problem with all mowers of this type.......they have absolutely no control going down hills when you don't have good rear wheel traction. So beware of this issue if you are cutting hills or slopes with a zero turn that steers using the rear wheels. Also, I purchased the bagging unit for this guy. It works but I don't think the design of the "lid" covering the bags is very good. if you park on the slightest slope (angling down towards the right side of the mower) while opening the lid it will fall off every time. Make sure you park on the level of with with mower angling slightly to the left side of the mower. Also, one of my bag seams just unraveled on me so I'll have to go to a local dealer to have that replaced. I only use the bagger for a very small portion of cutting near my house so these bags have only been filled and emptied may 6 or 7 times. (Posted on 6/5/13)

MX5060 Zero Turn is the way to go !!!Review by Hillsboro
Value
Quality
Packaging: Be prepared to take about 30 minutes to an hour to uncrate the lawnmower. It is packaged in a large box and then securely fasted with 2x3's. It will take some elbow grease to get it out of the crate. I know that since it was secure during storage and shipping that there would not be any scratches or dents.
Look and Feel: The Toro MX5060 is a very solid machine. I have to mow about 2 acres and it is bumpy so I wanted a machine that was welded, not stamped. The 10 guage steel is heavy duty and the heavy duty transmission will pay off in the long run. My 15 year old son and wife could not wait to hop on the machine and learn how to handle it. It only makes sense to pay the extra dollars and upgrade to the MX 5060.
Mowing: I mowed with my old John Deere(about 8 years old with new blades and a clean deck) for a few laps around my yard and then I mowed with the MX5060 just to see if I could see the difference in mowing. The difference was amazing. The John Deere left clumps of grass while the MX 5060 did not leave any. I could not believe how much better the MX 5060 did at cutting the grass and leaving my lawn clump-free. The 23 hp Kawasaki engine is much more powerful than my 22 HP Kohler engine on the John Deere. When I started mowing taller grass the JD had to work much harder and acted ilke it wanted to stall. The Toro did not miss a beat when cutting the tall grass. One thing to keep in mind is that the Z-Turn may tear up your lawn if it is wet/damp and you turn really sharp. This happened to me on a couple of occasions
Mowing Time: It took me about 4 hours on my JD (not a zero turn) and about 2.5 hours on my zero turn Toro. I know that I will cut this down to about 2 hours after I have more experience with driving and cutting on the Toro.
Gas usage: Other reviews indicated that the Kawasaki engine is a gas guzzler. I would agree with this, however, I still had gas left in my tank after 2.5 hours of mowing. Plus, if you don't mow with the engine wide open, the amount of gas being used decreases significantly. I would much rather have the power than the gas savings.
Ride: Since the Z-Turn travels much faster than traditional riding mowers, the ride is bumpier as well. Of course, this will depend on how level your lawn is. I discovered that the areas of my lawn that slopes, the Toro did not spin out like my JD did...another great advantage in my opinion.
In summary: I would recommend the Z-Turn MX5060 if you have a large lawn and want to reduce your mowing time. It is a good idea to get the heavier transmission. (Posted on 5/9/13)

The whole experience from purchase to delivery was very pleasant. Excellent communication throughout and fast delivery. I am a very happy customer. As for the tractor it is all I anticipated. Had a little hard time getting used to the zero turn since this is my first one, but it did not take much time to get a hold of it. Tractor cuts grass fast and efficiently. I did not measure how long it took to cut my almost 2 acres yard but it was significantly less.

Thank you. (Posted on 4/16/13)

I just received this mower and it's still snowing here so I haven't had a chance to try it out. All I've done so far is get it out of the crate and drive it into my garage. Which, incidentally, is a bit of a challenge in tight spaces if you haven't driven a zero turn before. I'd also like to say thanks to the delivery driver as he put in a valiant effort in trying to navigate my difficult driveway (backing in no less) to try and deliver my mower up to my garage, but in the end only could make it half way.....but at least he tried. Anyway, when the snow clears (soon I hope) I'll try to get back on here and update my review. The mower appears to be very well made and started right up out of the crate. (Posted on 3/26/13)

After using a 48" belly mower for the past 10 years, I decided to step up to the Zero turn experience. I researched over 8 major brands of ZT's, most of which I was able to test drive the handling, feel and speed of the units available in my area. I considered products from the B&M store offerings along with independent retailer outlet businesses in my searches. Service, product reliability, warranty and quality of build and cut were my main objectives. Although my property lawn care needs are relatively simple, I didn't consider entry level units but focused on mid-entry ZT's that approached component selections and features of their pro-line brothers, but with more reasonable price tags!

I started with the Toro line of ZT's and then went out for a couple of weeks to shop the competition. After absorbing many specs, driving dealer demos, reading many on line reviews and talking with a host of dealer and lawn care professionals, I came back to the Toro ZT's. Overall, the Toro MX 5060 50" gives me what I was looking for...the heavy duty build features in a non pro package. With the 23hp Kawasaki FR691V, 10 gauge welded deck, Hydro-Gear ZT-2800 HD transmissions, large and wide rear and front tires, dual speed selection, comfortable 18" contoured seat, hour meter and a high quality fit and finish, I made my choice. A solid warranty, great local dealer service and competitive pricing just sealed the deal!

As of this review, I've only put 5 hours of real world cutting on her (bought near end of 2012 growth season). Although my landscape borders my home, I have only 3 trees to cut around in the open lot and thought I could save a little cutting time with the speed and agility of the zero turn. On my property (3/4 acre), I maybe have gained a reduction of just 20% (25min to 20 min.), kind of what I was expecting. The Kawi runs smooth and fast, with fuel consumption again as I expected, about 1 gallon per hour of mowing time. The deck is easily adjustable and the ride is relatively smooth. After growing up with a steering wheel mower, I'm still honing my new skills to smoothly handle the ZT speed\turning lap bar controls.

Now for the Best Part..."Superb Lawn Cuts"! The mulching kit I had the dealer install along with the wide tires and high speed 3-blade design makes quick work of the lot, leaving my lawn looking smoothly manicured and healthy! This ZT really makes grass cutting fun again and now, it is a challenge to get er done, before my spouse does!! (Posted on 3/4/13)

Ok here we go, I am a super shopper, I look for Value and quality like a mad man.
I don't buy just because it's cheap or just because it's on sale. Don't get me wrong I do a little shopping at Harbor Freight, But I know what I'm getting and I know the product is less desirable. But I also know that I will only use the product maybe once or twice. My lawnmower is not one of those products and neither should yours. If you are shopping for a Zero Turn Mower then you know you want Good Quality at a good Value. Well here it is the Snapper MX5060. I have had two Zero turn mowers and this one by far is the best and at a good value. The Difference that you will spend for this mower and the next series down is WELL worth the money. This is a perfect middle of the road mower for doing those weekend chores fast. and if you have a lot of trees and shrubs to go around or you have your wife take it for a spin, the speed control feature is the best. You will not be sorry on this one.
